Taking the first step toward treatment can feel overwhelming. At Eastern Grove Support, our admissions process is designed to be welcoming, respectful, and straightforward.
Our team works with individuals, families, referral sources, healthcare providers, and community partners to help determine whether our residential treatment program is an appropriate level of care and to coordinate a smooth transition into services.
How the Admissions Process Works
Our admissions process is designed to help individuals and referral sources understand what to expect from the initial inquiry through admission and orientation.
Referral or Initial Contact
The admissions process begins when we receive a referral or inquiry. Referrals may come from the individual seeking services, a family or support person, hospital or healthcare provider, behavioral health provider, community organization, or other authorized referral source.
Initial Screening
Our team will gather information about the individual’s current needs, treatment history, substance use, behavioral health needs, medications, current services, insurance coverage, and other information necessary to determine the appropriate next steps.
Clinical Assessment and Review
A qualified member of our clinical team will review available information and complete or coordinate any required assessment to determine whether the individual meets criteria for the requested level of care.
Insurance and Authorization
When applicable, Eastern Grove Support will work with the individual, referral source, and insurance provider to obtain necessary coverage information and authorization for services.
Admission Coordination
Once the individual is clinically appropriate for the program and required admission steps have been completed, our team will coordinate an admission date and provide instructions regarding arrival, medications, documentation, and what to bring.
Welcome to Eastern Grove Support
Upon arrival, individuals will complete the intake and orientation process, become familiar with the program and facility, and begin working with the treatment team to develop an individualized plan of care.

Every person’s situation is different. Submission of a referral does not automatically guarantee admission. Our team reviews each referral individually to determine whether Eastern Grove Support can safely and appropriately meet the person’s treatment needs.
