Questions About Residential Treatment?

Explore the questions below to learn more about referrals, admissions, residential treatment, medications, privacy, continuing care, and what you can expect throughout the process.

Who does Eastern Grove Support serve?

Eastern Grove Support provides behavioral health and substance use services based on each program’s eligibility requirements. Individuals interested in residential treatment will complete an admission and clinical review process to determine whether the program is appropriate for their needs.

How do I make a referral?

A referral can be initiated through our website or by contacting Eastern Grove Support. Individuals may also be referred by healthcare providers, hospitals, behavioral health providers, community organizations, and other authorized referral sources.

Can I refer myself?

Yes. Individuals interested in receiving services may contact us directly. Our admissions team can explain the screening and assessment process and determine the next appropriate step.

Does submitting a referral guarantee admission?

No. Each referral must be reviewed to determine clinical appropriateness, eligibility, and whether Eastern Grove Support can safely meet the individual’s treatment needs.

Do you accept insurance?

Eastern Grove Support works with applicable insurance plans and funding sources for covered services. Coverage depends on the individual’s insurance plan, eligibility, authorization requirements, and the service being requested.

Our team can assist with verifying available coverage during the admission process.

How long will I stay in residential treatment?

Length of stay is individualized and depends on clinical needs, treatment progress, authorization, and discharge planning. Your treatment team will work with you throughout your stay to evaluate your needs and prepare for the next appropriate level of care.

Can I bring my medications?

Individuals should provide complete information regarding all prescribed and over-the-counter medications during the admission process.

Please bring medications according to the instructions provided by the admissions team. Medication storage and administration must follow program policies and applicable requirements.

What should I bring with me?

Residents should bring appropriate clothing, personal hygiene items, identification, necessary documentation, and other approved personal belongings.

Please review our What to Bring to Residential Treatment page before arrival for additional guidance.

Are there items I cannot bring?

Yes. Certain items may be restricted or prohibited to protect the safety, privacy, and recovery environment of everyone in the program.

The admissions team will provide information about prohibited or restricted items before arrival. All belongings are subject to applicable program safety procedures.

What happens when I arrive?

You will participate in an intake and orientation process. Staff will review program expectations, client rights, safety procedures, medications and health information, and other information necessary to help you transition into the program.

Will I have an individualized treatment plan?

Yes. Treatment is based on individual needs, strengths, challenges, and recovery goals. You will participate in developing and reviewing your treatment plan throughout services.

What does a typical day look like?

Daily schedules may include structured treatment activities, group programming, recovery education, skill building, case management, wellness activities, personal responsibilities, recreation, and opportunities for reflection.

Schedules may vary based on the program and individual treatment needs.

Will my information remain confidential?
